ThebasisfortheintegrationofAPOandECCistheinstallationofacorresponding ECCplug-

in,withwhichtheCIFinterfacehasalreadybeenset. TheCIFinterface
processesthedataplannedfortransfer,thentheexchangeofdataeventuallytakes place via RFC
connections. The RFC connections must be set up before data can be exchanged using CIF.
Thereareseveralstepsrequiredtodothis: Firstdefinethecorresponding logical systems and assign them
to the systems, so that the source and destination of the data can benamed. The RFC destinations
are subsequently defined for both systems. Next, you define APO target systems in ECC, so that it is
clear which SCM system(s) the ECC data can flow into. For retransferring planning results
fromAPOtoECC,thelogical(ECC)systemtowhichthedataistobetransferred is determined in APO
Customizing (Publication).
