THE EXAMINATION OF CONTENT

As a young Catholic lady with an experience in frequenting the confessional ????, I

discovered that one thing always brought me there: the realization that I had done
something wrong.

How does one who profess such faith ACKNOWLEDGE that one has offended a neighbour,
the Church or the Creator? It is by the �examination of conscience�. EoC is a
thorough introspection of one�s thoughts, words or actions to find barriers to the
relationship with the Creator.

From this EoC comes another type EoC, an introspection for content creators: the
Examination of Content. They are series of questions that writers, speakers and
visualizers should ask about the structure, style and content of their works before
hitting the �publish� button.

Here is a rough format of an EoC that content creators, writers especially, should
ask before sharing or distributing their stories to the world.

Is the heading clear and distinct?

Is the information arranged in a logical sequence- introduction, body, call to
action, and conclusion?
Does the heading summarize the content in a bit?
Is the purpose of this article clearly stated?
Is the article concise- or is it filled with unnecessary and/or ambiguous terms?
Are the paragraphs too lengthy?
Does each paragraph clearly address a point?
Are there blank lines or spaces in between the paragraphs or are they squeezed all
up on the paper?
Are there errors in spelling and punctuation?
Is there too much detail? Have you digressed from the topic?
Did your content show interest in the reader? Have you been �proud� with your
content?
Did your content solve the problem of your ideal audience?
Does your content show warmth, empathy, sensitivity and friendliness?
Is it positive and constructive- or negative and destructive?
Does it clearly and carefully oppose/support an argument?
Does my writing style suit my audience?
Have I made unnecessary repetitions?
