I am a Professional and Technical Communications major at the University of South Florida Sarasota-
Manatee. I interviewed Jason Rodriguez from your firm regarding technical writing and he informed me
that there are positions available. I appreciate the importance of relationships between employees and
clients that Jacobs Technology strives to create. Too, aviation and aeronautics have always interested me.
Jacobs involvement with that industry fascinates me, and I would love to be a part of that relationship.

Over the past two years I have worked at a Chick-fil-A. Beginning as a Team Member, I quickly moved
up the latter to a Supervisor in less than two years. Primarily, I lead our Drive-Thru, focusing on making
it more efficient resulting in a faster experience for our guests. The metric central to defining our speed-
of-service is how many transactions (cars) we can push through our Drive-Thru in an hour. Previously
during peak hours, it was rare to exceed 100. Since I have overseen our Drive-Thru, we have been able to
do over 130. This was accomplished through consistently assessing and making changes to procedures
making them more efficient. I strive in stressful, fast-paced environments with clear goals. Additionally,
my education will be an asset. My course in Visual Rhetoric in Technical Communication, specifically,
taught me how to use Adobe InDesign and insinuate visuals into technical writing.
