ชุดไทยของห้องเราที่ใชเ้ ขา้ ร่วมการแขง่ ขันประกวดชุดไทยรี ไซเคิลใน
ครัง้ นี้ เป็ นชุดไทยประยุกต์ ไดร้ ั บแรงบันดาลใจมาจากชุดประกวดการแขง่ ขันนาง
แบบชื่อดัง โดยมีชฎาซ่ึงส่อ ื ถึงเอกลักษณ์ของชุดไทย ในขณะที่กระโปรงเป็ นการ
ผสมผสานระหวา่ งความเป็ นไทยและสากล โดยใชล ้ ายไทยเขา้ มาตกแตง่ และปรับ
ลักษณะบางสว่ นเชน ่ จีบกระโปรงให้มีความเป็ นสากลมากขึ้น ทาํ ให้ชุดดูโดดเดน ่
มีเอกลักษณ์ และทันสมัย แนวคิดหลักคือการออกแบบชุดให้ส่อ ื ถึงเอกลักษณ์
ความเป็ นไทยและมีความสวยงาม ทันสมัย พร้อมทังน ้ ําวัสดุเหลือใชใ้ นชีวต ิ ประจาํ
วันมาสร้างสรรคเ์ ป็ นชุดที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว เพื่อส่อ ื ให้เห็นถึงความสาํ คัญของ
การนําวัสดุเหลือใชก ้ ลับมาประยุกตใ์ ชใ้ หมอ่ ีกครัง้ อีกทังย้ ั งทาํ ให้ตระหนักถึงความ
สาํ คัญของการอนุ รักษ์สงิ่ แวดลอ ้ มและทรัพยากร ซ่ึงการรี ไซเคิลก็เป็ นหนึ่ งในวิธี

รี ไซเคิลทาํ ให้เราไมต ้ งนําขยะเหลา่ นี้ ไปกาํ จัด ไมว่ า่ จะเป็ นการเผาทาํ ลายหรื อ

ที่สุดในการประกวดการทาํ ชุดรี ไซเคิลในครัง้ นี้ คือสอนให้พวกเราเป็ นคนมีความ
คิดสร้างสรรค์ เรี ยนรู้ ท่ีจะวางแผนและทาํ งานร่วมกันเป็ นกลุม ่ ผลงานชิ้นนี้ จะเป็ น
ผลงานที่มีคา่ มากสาํ หรับเราทุกคน ไมม ่ ีใครสามารถหาซ้ ือไดเ้ พราะเราคิดและทาํ
มันขึ้นมาเอง ซ่ึงในโลกนี้ จะมีอยูเ่ พียงชิ้นเดียว การทาํ งานครัง้ นี้ พวกเรายังไมล่ ืมที่
จะใสว่ ั ฒนธรรมความเป็ นไทยของเราผา่ นชุดโดยการออกแบบให้มีชฎาสวมที่
ศรี ษะดว้ ย งานชิ้นนี้ ทาํ ให้เราตระหนักถึงปัญหาสภาวะโลกร้อนที่เกิดขึ้นไดจ้ าก
การเผา่ ทาํ ลายขยะในแตล่ ะวันเป็ นจาํ นวนมาก เราจึงอยากร่วมแรงร่วมใจกันลด
ปัญหานี้ และสร้างสรรคผ ์ ลงานที่ทาํ ให้คนรุ่นใหมห ่ ั นกลับมามองการแตง่ กายแบบ
ไทยอีกครัง้

Our Thai dress used to participate in the Thai Recycled

costume is the amalgamation of the original and modern
concept, inspired by the famous model competition. The
headdress itself is called “Chada” help to promote Thai identity.
The skirt part is the combination of Thai and international as
Thai style is use to adjust and decorates some part of the skirt,
such as pleat skirts, in which it makes the costume more
universal and unique. The main concept of the design is to
represent the modern beauty and the identity of Thai dress to
demonstrate the importance of re-use of recycled materials in
daily life that could carry out a remarkable work. This is also to
encourage the awareness and the importance of environmental
conservation. As a result, recycling is one of the key that can
help to preserve the planet.
 The headdress structure is made from wire with
newspaper on the outside decorating with gold tint using the
same techniques as kratong. For the dress, it was made from
recycle paper mâché which is a composite material consisting
of paper pieces , reinforced by glue or starch. This will make
the paper dress has a stronghold without tearing apart easily
and able to paint an elegant thai pattern on it. On the chest, we
used paper mâché over balloons to get the perfect structure.
Next is the bottom part which is a long skirt, using newspaper
to create pleats with plastic bag over it on the outside and sew
white fabric on the inside, as well as using elastic thread for the
waist. Then, we used water caps and can caps on ropes from
belt decoration. Moreover, we used ropes for necklace, and for
the shoulder part, we used the same techniques with the
headdress but white hard papers instead of newspaper to
create Thai patterns. Lastly, we used some paperboards to
make the shoes.

Finally, our Thai recycled costume contest has proved to

gave us a lot of facts and connotation as well. The benefits for
this recycled costume is that they reduces solid waste in
landfills plus conserving energy. Several wastes such as plastic
bottles and/or soda cans were being thrown out into rivers, or
being burned away everyday that it causes such harmful
pollution problems in our environment. Utilizing those unused
wastes would greatly help ensure that all the materials and
energy doesn’t simply go to waste. Recycling Thai clothes
could also provide in raising awareness not only in about
saving the earth, but in preserving Thai’s very own culture as
well. Nowadays, modern or brand-named clothes proves to be
influential in our modern society, resulting in traditional beauty
started to fading away. This method could help people to
realize the importance of the country’s traditional art that has
been passed on from generations to generations.
