No. 2016- 10-480A to JJJ Newspapers and Magazine WHEREAS, the ERC posted the Procurement of Newspaper Subscription with the Approved Budget for Contract (ABC) of One Hundred Sixty One Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Two Pesos (PhP 161,722.00) on 05 December 2016 to 08 December 2016 at the websites of ERC and the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS); WHEREAS, a request for quotation was also sent to Business World Publishing Corp., and Zurbano Publishing and Printing Corp.; WHEREAS, JJJ Newspapers and Magazine submitted a quotation of One Hundred Fifty Eight Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Three Pesos (PhP 158,383.00) on 07 December 2016; WHEREAS, after the Post-Qualification review conducted by the BAC Technical Working Group (BAC-TWG) on December 22, 2016, JJJ Newspapers and Magazine was established to have complied with all the required Legal, Technical and Financial Requirements. The 2017 BAC-TWG thus, recommended to the ERC 2017 BAC to declare the sole bidder eligible and be considered for award for offering a Single Calculated Responsive Bid (SCRB) for One Hundred Fifty Eight Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Three Pesos (PhP 158,383.00) VAT inclusive; NOW, THEREFORE, We, the Members of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), hereby RESOLVE to recommend to the ERC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) JOSE VICENTE B. SALAZAR to award the bid to JJJ Newspapers and Magazine for being the Single Calculated Responsive Bid (SCRB) for the Procurement of Newspaper Subscription.
