IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES

Three separate Booklets; one each for Paper-I, Paper-II & Paper-III (all 3 papers are MCQ
type).
Test for Paper-I and Paper-II is in the 1st Session (from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and from
10:45 a.m. to 12:00 noon).
Test for Paper-III is in the 2nd Session (from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
Compulsorily get a valid Photo Identity Proof alongwith the downloaded Admission
Certificate (Admit Card) for entry in Examination Hall.
Collect back the Admission Certificate (Admit Card) for your record.
No Electronic Gadgets (Calculator, Mobile/Cellular Phone, Digital Diaries etc.) or Log Tables
are allowed in the Examination Hall. Please note that no arrangement, whatsoever, shall be
made for keeping these gadgets and candidates shall have to leave them outside the
examination hall on their own risk and responsibility.
Enter the Examination Hall 30 minutes before the scheduled time i.e., by 9:00 a.m.
No candidate shall be allowed to enter the Examination Center after the expiry of 20
minutes from commencement of examination (i.e., after 9:50 a.m.).
A single OMR of Papers I & II shall be distributed at 9:10 a.m.; and the Test Booklet of Paper
I shall be distributed at 9:20 a.m. for reading Instructions and filling in the required
information.
Fill in your Name (in Capital letters), Subject of Examination, Test Booklet Code, Roll No.,
Subject Code, Centre Code and Sign the OMR Sheet.
Also fill in the particulars on the Question Booklet.
Open the seal of Test Booklet of Paper-I at 9:30 a.m.; Paper-II at 10:45 a.m. in the 1st session
and of Paper-III at 1:30 p.m. in the 2nd Session;
Test Booklet for Paper-II shall be distributed at 10:45 a.m. only to those candidates who
appear in Paper I.
No candidate will be allowed to leave the room before 11:30 a.m. in the 1st Session and 3:00
p.m. in the 2nd Session; however, they shall not be allowed to take test booklets with them.
No candidate is allowed to go to toilet during last 20 minutes of the Exam. in each session.
Candidate who does not appear in Paper-I shall not be permitted to appear in Papers II &
III.
Use only Blue/Black Ball Point Pen. Pencil, Ink/Jel/Pilot pens are not allowed in any
case.
Candidates are not allowed to use White Fluid (Correction Fluid) on OMR sheets for
correction of responses.
Return the Original OMR Sheet of Paper I & II (combined) in 1st Meeting and Paper III in
2nd Meeting to the Invigilator before leaving the Examination Hall.
Question Booklets of all the three papers and Duplicate Copy of the OMR Sheet can be
retained by the Candidates, provided they sit upto the end of the Examination.
Paper-I: 60 MCQs of 2 marks each, out of which 50 are to be attempted (100 marks). Any
candidate attempting more than 50 questions, the 1st 50 shall be evaluated.
Paper-II: 50 Compulsory MCQs from the Subject of 2 marks each (100 marks).
Paper-III: 75 Compulsory MCQs from the Subject each carrying 2 marks (150 marks).
“NO NEGATIVE MARKING” in Paper-I, Paper-II & Paper-III.
Candidates found copying or resorting to any unfair means are liable to be disqualified
from this and future examinations.
The centre codes for all Kashmir sub-centres is 01 and for all Jammu sub-Centres is 02
All subject codes are two-digit codes starting from 01 (Chemical Sciences) to 37 (Urdu)
The subject code, to be filled in the Combined OMR sheet of Papers I + II is not 00 but that of
the subject opted for. For example, a Commerce candidate has to use the subject code 09.
The OMR Sheet for Paper-I, Paper-II (together) and Paper-III have been designed for OMR
based evaluation. If the candidate does not follow the instructions or does not fill up all
columns properly, the OMR Sheet will not be evaluated. Any resultant loss to the candidate
on the above account for not following the instructions shall be his/her responsibility.
Each question has four alternative responses marked A, B, C and D. The candidate has to
completely darken a circle, as the correct response against each question.
