Directions: Write a 50-word (minimum) reflection for each of the questions/statements

posted below. Answers must be typed in complete sentences with correct spelling,
capitalization, punctuation and grammar.

Entries can include activities, training, observations, instructions, personal notes, etc. You can
include things that you saw and did and what equipment and technology was used. Your
responses may be shared with your mentor. Please be complete in your
reflections/thoughts/answers.

1. Explain the following elements of professional appearance:

a. Attire- Button-down shirt with ironed cloth pants, with a matching jacket
b. Grooming- Hair cut to appropriate length and styled casually. Facial hair should be
kept tidy.
c. Accessories- Watch, leather belt, rither necktie or bowtie depending on the type of
workplace

2. What type of professional attire are you expected to wear at your current job? How
important is your professional appearance at your job? The attire at my current workplace
is athletic clothes. This is important as you are moving around and demonstrating exercises
for the athletes in their training regiment.

3. What type of professional attire will you be expected to wear in your future career? What
will be the expectations when it comes to your professional appearance in your future
career? In my future career I will have the option to choose between medical scrubs and a
tucked in collared shirt with slacks, as well as a lab coat. The expectation is to look as
professional and qualified to be in the position I will be in.
