The United States and North Korea have been feuding ever since the korean war in

1950. North Korea has broken agreement after agreement, because of that world
powers are worried of their nuclear power. Me and my team: the international
rescue committee helps those who are recovering from conflict and disaster seek
protection from harm, build shelter communities, and understand their human
rights. We strive to provide humanitarian assistance, local governance, and gender
equality for women.
The debate to discuss the issues were among the UN(United Nations), international
red cross, and the world trade organization discussing what should be done to
resolve the issue regarding the situation in North Korea was tough. The United
nations had the most say into what should be done to resolve the issue. They
suggested that Kim jong un should be eliminated with the rest of the capital
pyongyang, which is mainly residential to the government by bombing that
territory. This suggestion had a lot of discussion on whether that's a good solution
knowing that China and Russia(apart of the UN) helps supply North Korea could
be huge risk. From our standpoint, bombing pyongyang would create millions of
refugees, meaning we would need help from all other organizations with the
money needed to support our efforts. In the end we agreed with this resolution.
This debate was a success. This interaction shows how hard it is for these
organizations to decide how to solve a conflict. These debates also show how
every choice made is a risk. As the international rescue committee our participation
was limited based on the fact that we can not do anything until a resolution is
found that would bring the need of humanitarian assistance.

The United States recently needed help from international organizations. The
hurricanes the hit Puerto Rico were devisating leaving the whole country without
power for months, some parts still don't have power to this day. The United States
acted slow and organizations came in and assisted.
