Description of BPSU

- Bataan Peninsula State University also known as BPSU (formerly Bataan National School of Arts
and Trades or BNSAT). Main Campus is well-known in the field of Engineering and Technology
since 1953. And it is the only state university in the province of Bataan. Today, aside from
engineering and technology they offer many academic programs for the future learners.

Effects of free tuition (also includes provisions of the law)

- The Implementing Rules and Regulations just begun free tuition R.A. (Republic Act) 10931
entitled “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act” that will set effect this year 2018.
Providing all Filipinos with equal opportunity to quality tertiary education in both the private and
public educational institution. While processing this law, the salary of every instructor of the
universities was delayed. They are waiting for the release of the reserved budget for every
school that's why they don't received any money to fill their needs.

Financial status of the university

- Since the budget of the university is coming from the government, financial aspect is affected. It
can’t handle all the expenses of university while processing the reserved budget for this.
