4. Why is there evil?
5. Why can’t there be a clear distinction between right and wrong?

Add at least three more questions to your list OR revise the questions you listed on Tuesday to
prepare for next week's conferences. By revise, I mean that you might expand the question, make
the language more specific, or tighten the focus of what you've written by qualifying the
parameters. For example, you might include a specific time period, a range in age, a specific
geographic region, a certain ethnic group, and so on. It really depends on the type of question
you have.
1. What are significant steps that researchers have taken towards curing cancer?

2. Why should the U.S. legalize organ sales?

3. Should the death penalty be outlawed?

After the group conference, at home

Before you met in the group conference, what were your thoughts about your inquiry project
questions? How have they changed? Which question seems to now hold the most potential as an
open-ended line of inquiry (LOI)? Why? Perhaps you are debating between two questions as the
LOI. If so, share your thoughts and the potential questions in the entry. Finally, discuss what
you gained from sharing your ideas.

What did you learn about internships from the Career Center graduate student? Is this an
opportunity you will pursue? Why or why not?
