The leader in multilingual OCR

Always be sure that you select the correct language. The list of recognized characters varies according
to the selected document language, and recognition is assisted by a Iinguistic database. Readiris
extensively uses linguistic information to validate good solutions and mark suspicious ones.

Reading Mixed Languages

When you select "Russian-English" or "Greek-English", a mixed character set is used. Readiris copes
beautifully with "Western" words (proper names etc.) as occur in Russian and Greek documents.

To mix other languages on a page, select the language with the most extended character set. To read
documents where English and French occur alongside, select French as language to ensure that the
accentuated characters recognized correctly.

Reading Tables
y ou can limit recognition to a numeric character set to optimally OCR tables of figures.
