a. Chess is a game for people of all ages. Our students can learn to play at any age and in chess,
unlike in many other sports. In addition, age is also not a factor when our students are looking for
an opponent because “young can play old and old can play young”.
b. Chess develops imagination and creativity. It encourages our students to be inventive.
c. Chess teaches independence because our students are forced to make important decisions
influenced only by their judgment.
d. Chess develops memory because the chess theory is complicated and all of our students will
memorize different opening variations. They will also learn to recognize various patterns and
remember lengthy variations.
