Student Response and Assessment Tools
Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: The teacher will have already created a
Kahoot game. The teache will get the students to pull out their personal devices. The students will type in
the code to join the Kahoot game. Once the students are all in the Kahoot game they will follow along and
answer the questions at 20 second intervals. The Kahoot game will keep up with the speed the students
answered at, the order they answered at, and a numerical ranking.
Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):
☒ Multiple choice ☐ Multiple select ☒ True/False ☐ Yes/No
☐ Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank ☐ Longer open-ended response

If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):

Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?

☒ Yes ☐ No
☒ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
☒ Yes
☐ No
Why or why not?
The correct answer is told after all of the student responses are in. I have done this so the students can learn
the correct answer immediately after answering and then we can discuss why it was correct as a class right
after each question.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
After the activity we will discuss as a class the answers and why students thought other answer were
correct or not. I will then go into a full lesson plan over tobacco and e-cig use.

How will the data be used?: The data after the activity will be used in order for me as the teacher to see
what the students thought they knew, what they actually knew, and what they still need to learn about
tobacco and e-cigs.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.
I hope to learn from this Kahoot game what the students know and what they still need to learn. I hope it
will help the students learn that not as many people are actually participating in tobacco and e-cig use as
they think. Using tobacco and e-cigs is actually NOT a social norm for high school students.

Reflective Practice: The Kahoot game is designed for an introductory activity in order to engage students
early on and for me as the teacher to learn what their current knowledge is on tobacco and e-cigs. I would
further this lesson plan by going further in depth on tobacco and e-cig statistics, what health problems they
cause, how much money these activities cost, long term and short term effects of smoking and lastly
practicing refusal skills. The end goal will be to educate the students enough so that they will not take part
in using tobacco or e-cigs.
