Her love for knowledge is so great,


Yet they restrict her ‘till the dusk of the day.
The night dances while she awaits,
For gender equity and equal pay.

Her beauty is great,


her abilities greater,
Yet standing tall is all she does,
while waiting for that moment, and for that day.

They say all they see are shades of grey,


They say it's irrelevant,
Yet oblivious they remain,
to the judgement they display.

And so, goes on this counter play,


As they go on ignoring their plight,
And there she stands awaiting that day,
When is in consensus abandoning their dismay.
