Dear Mr. Alburger,

In my pride paper I have decided to research how to become a Police Officer because I like
people being unselfish and protecting the good. This has not always been an interest of mine but
I recently became very interested when police all across our nation were under a microscope on
how they treated the people they were arresting.

In my Pride paper i will include research about what it takes to become an officer of the law, the
edcuation you need, and different types of officers you can be. I will start off taling about the
education and training you need. Then I will go on and talk about the dangers of being an officer
and how much money is being given to you, then i will talk about the struggles of an officers
family and how they cope with it knowing that person could lose there life.

For my mentor hours I am going to go on a ride along with one of Pinelake Preps basketball
coaches who offered this to me. He said he would have no problem with it and welcomed me to
doing it.

I have read Pine Lake’s ethics guide and understand that plagiarism will result in a zero on the
overall grade of my paper.
