Camila's POV

"For us to come up with 18 answer for our Inventory turnover we must divide the Cost of good sold to the average
inventory" I said while smiling.

"Wow, impressive. I don't expect anyone to answer my question because this is our first day but there you are" Mr.
Lopez said and everyone starts clapping.

"actually this question is for our lesson in midterms' Ms. Cabello you are so advance and keep it up. Muy bien. You
may take your sit" Mr. Lopez added smiling. I'm used to it hearing compliments on how smart and beautiful I am.

"Nerd" my bestfriend Dinah teased me. She rolled her eyes.

"Idiot" I replied chuckling. I can feel everyone stealing glances at my direction. I can't blame them' the view is
beautiful and undeniably breathtaking. I bit my lips because of how conceited my thoughts were. Sometimes I hate
this side of myself. Of course, I never said it out loud, I don't want them to think that I'm so fullnof myself.

My morning class comes to an end and it's time for lunch. Dinah and I wait for Ally at the Angelo's Restaurateur few
blocks away from the university. I ordered chicken parmesan with white sauce, buffalo wings for Dinah and Spicy
Cordon Bleu for Ally. Each of our meal really looks good and delicious. My friends start taking photo on their lunch,
I can't blame them the food presentation is really instagramable but I'm really hungry so I started eating mine.

"do you wanna know who's my professor at Calculus?" Ally said after drinking her juice. Smirk is plastered on her
face. Sounds interesting.

"Who? Old man? Or menopause lady?" Dinah said as she take a bite on her chicken. Boring. Dinah is so slow, why
would Ally will tell us about that if there's nothing special.

"No! This sem is much better than I imagine" Ally said giggling like an idiot. Good for Ally then.

"Drop the bomb" I said because I don't like guessing games. Ally rolled her eyes playfully.

"Impatient as always" Dinah slap my shoulder and I whine. This girl is quite sadist. It felt like my shoulder bones are
all dislocated.

"It was Troy. Troy is my professor at calculus. The guy I hooked up with last summer" Ally said continuously and
made a cross sign to his fingers.

Dinah spit her juice out of shock on Ally's face and I'm laughing so hard. Ally's face was "happy" to "disgusted" real
quick.

"Dinah your grossssssss! Don't you know that it's a sin to waste food" Ally wipe her face with napkin and we help
her clean out.

"Sorry Allysus' let me lick it then" Dinah leans on Ally's direction, positioning herself to lick the juice that's dripping
on Ally's face. I started laughing.

"Omg. Just forget it Dinah" Ally said stopping Dinah's face using her hand. Dinah and I couldn't help but to laugh at
the short girl's reaction.
"that's some big news. Isn't his too young to be a professor?" Dinah made a peace sign.

"Actually, I don't know how that happened but perhaps his a sub or intern. I don't know, what matters to me is I'm
going to see him more often. Oh my gash girls, I have to go or else I'll be thirty minutes late on my next subject. I
didn't notice our time" Ally said in rush after taking a glance on her watch and we just nodded. She bid her
goodbye.

"You owe us an story okay. Don't forget to call us tonight dwarfy" Dinah shouts and I laugh softly.

Ally glared at Dinah. My friends are really funny. That's why a day won't end with me being on a bad mood. My
phone suddenly buzzed and I check it immediately just to found out it was Shawn, the person who I am longing to
see right now.

Good day princess! I hope you're having fun at your first day. Don't forget to smile because you're a lot
prettier when you do. Leave me a msg when you have time! See you soon!

"Your smile makes me sick. Are you wet now? Looks like you and Shawn are sexting" Dinah faked a disgusted
face. I pinch her nose, I was so embarrassed because what if someone heard her. It could give them a wrong
impression on me.

"Stop Dinah, he just check up on me" I said blushing.

"Whatever" Dinah chuckled.

The struggles starts after the first week. Here I am, sipping a coffee while doing my home works at Malica's
coffee shop. I need to finish this as soon as possible so i'll be able to see Shawn at my free time. I giggled at
my thought hihi. Omg! I probably look like an idiot right now because I'm giggling alone so I changed my
expression into a serious one.

"Excuse me, may I sit at your table for awhile, I won't take long" said by someone who has a raspy voice. I
immediately look up to met a perfect earth green pair of eyes. I was so stunned.

"Excuse me?" She frowns a little. I don't know how long I've been staring at her but I let the words she said
sink on my mind. Ohh, why is that? I roam my eyes to the whole cafe and it was full of customers.

"Uh yeah sure" I answered her timidly. I'm a bit shy.

"great" she smiled not reaching her ears. She grab her sit with a hundred percent of poise and it looks like
she's a girl who raised having a royal blood. She's busy doing something on her phone. I realize that I am
staring at her for a long time so I decided to bring back my attention to my homework.

But there is something about her that wants me to keep looking, maybe her eyes? So I gave her a few glances.
I want to start up a conversation. I mean, maybe she's in the same university with mine and there's nothing
wrong making new friends. As I open my mouth, the barista shouted "two Iced cappuccino for Lauren" and
she stands up immediately. Wow, nice timing huh. So Lauren is her name? It's sound good and fits her well.

"Thank you" she mouthed and went out the coffee shop. I just smile and nodded my head.
I return my attention to what I've been doing awhile ago. After few minutes I'm done and voila! I'm free to
hang out without thinking about unfinished tasks. Procastinating isn't really my thing. I was about to call
Shawn when I received a msg from him asking if i'm free. I replied with a yes and he called me asking if I want
to go for clubbing tonight. Today is just effin Thursday, I have class tomorrow at 10 but I'm done at everything.
So yea, I'll go.

I decided to wear a backless black dress that shows my curves at right position. I straightened my hair and put
a light amout of make up. I heard a honk outside the house. I assume it's Shawn so I get my purse and went to
open the gate to see my Shawn smiling perfectly. He is so handsome with his black jeans and white shirt
together with a leather jacket.

I peck his cheeks and we smiled at each other. He open the car's door for me and I blushed at his gesture. His
really a gentleman.

"I know it's Thursday night and you have class tomorrow but I promise you that you will really have fun" he
squeeze slightly my hand.

"Well, let's see" I chuckled. He knows that I'm not fond of parties. Why? Because all of the parties I went,
which was only few times, were full of horny teenagers and smoke of weeds.

After 20 mins. we entered District 8 and this place is totally new to me. It's not just a simple bar but it's a high
end bar. We didn't need to fall in line to enter, Shawn just whispered something to the bouncer and let us
passed. The place was dark and the lights were dim and beautiful. The place is not that crowded and has
really a good ambiance.

"Is this new establishment?" I ask him while roaming my eyes to the new environment.

"Yes Mila, it just opened 3 months ago. Come on, there's Dinah and Ally together with some friends" Shawn
lead me to the couch where my friends are. He holds my hand like I'm the most precious thing in his world.

"I didn't know guys you're here" I told them as we sat at the couch. Shawn's friends greet me and I did the
same.

"I'll get us some drinks baby" Shawn whisper to my ears and disapperead at the crowd.

"Well Shawn invited us and we gladly accepted his request because it's his birthday" Dinah said smiling and I
look at her with my eyes wide open and my hands on my mouth.

What the hell! I didn't even know that it's Shawn's birthday. I feel so bad. I'm the worst!

"What's with that face mila?" Ally asked me.

"I didn't know that there's a celebration tonight. I feel so bad and embarassed. I don't have any present for
him" I said biting my lips. Ally caressed my back and said it's alright.

"What matters is you're with him tonight and I believe he is happy" Ally said smiling.
"Yes chancho, you presence is what matters. Besides, you can still buy him a gift and give it tomorrow it's not
like his not going to accept it. That lad can't say no to you" Dinah said while grinning. Somehow, I am relieve
but I can't help not to feel guilty.

Shawn came back with beverage on his hands. Cocktails. I told him it's alright to have strong beverage but he
refuse because he wants to be aware in each situation while I'm with him. So sweet.

We enjoy talking to each other and luckily, Shawn's friends and mine get along. Joshua, Halsey, Brent and
Clifford are so funny that's why Dinah and Ally are laughing like crazy persons. They got along so easily.

"There's another room here for live shows right?" Ally asked and Halsey nodded.

"Do you want to watch? A vampire is singing tonight and she's really good" Halsey chuckled and I frowned at
her statement. Vampires are not real. There is no concrete evidence of their existence. Ohhh, yes. She's just
joking. Why does I have to take all of things seriously.

"Shawn, I'll borrow Camila we'll be back after one song" Halsey dragged me to another room. Dinah and Ally
followed us. The room was more quiet than where we stay but you can still feel the people are having fun.
The lights are dim giving a chilly ambiance.

Most of the table we're occupied so we decided to stand near the exit besides we won't take long. There's a
woman in front of the stage. Her figure seems to be familiar to me. I think I saw her somewhere else.

"How are you tonight?" a sweet raspy voice asked the audience. Some of them starts yelling "I'm fine because
I saw you now" "I'm going to be great if you'll go out with me" "I'm sick but I'm good now" and a lot of lame
flirty remarks. I just rolled my eyes. It doesn't mean that I'm in a high end bar it means it's free from idiots.
The girl chuckled and made herself comfotable with her mic.

I take a few steps to see her face just to confirm that I already saw her and she's the girl from coffee shop this
morning. Small world huh?

"I'm gonna sing this song for those who are suffering heartbreaks now. I hope you like it" she said smiling. She
earned a laughter from the crowd.

She started the first line and I feel my body shiver at the coldness of her voice. I'm stunned. She's good. The
room is now quite and her voice is the only sound you'll hear. Eveyone is amaze at her. I'm really caught in the
situation to the point that I didn't know it was finished.

"Let's go! She's good right?" Halsey asked me as she dragged me going back to our table. Why does this
woman keeps dragging me? I slide my own question and starts dragging Ally too who keeps bumping at tall
guys and girls. Maybe she's dizzy now.

"Yes. She is! I'd love to watch her for another time it's so relaxing" Ally said as her eyes glow from admiration
as if she didn't feel groggy.

"Oh yes and she's pretty too" I said smiling.

"Who's pretty?" Dinah asked us immediately.

"The girl who performed at the other room she's so good and mysterious. Right Mila?" Ally said giggling and I
just nodded my head. I feel an arms wrapping around me and it was Shawn. I hold his manly hands and kissed
his cheeks.

"Ohh, I wished I have joined you there but it's fun here too" Dinah said pouting.

"Don't worry that vampire will join us after her performance" Clifford said and winked to Dinah. What's going
on with them?

We eyed him in confusion.

"What's with that face? Why not? Halsey and Lauren are cousins. You didn't tell them Sey?" Brent chuckled.

"Oh yes I'm sorry. That's true. Shame on me, I forgot" Halsey made a peace and drink her alcohol.

My friends and I nodded in understanding.

After few minutes, most of us where drunk particularly Shawn, Clifford and my friends. I insist Shawn to have
fun and don't mind me since it's his birthday. Someone put his hands to Shawn's eye and I felt annoyance so I
look up immediately to see Lauren standing at the back of Shawn.

"Guess who?" She asked in a different voice. And we laugh softly.

"I can't recognize your voice but I'm not expecting anyone tonight to come with us except Lauren" Shawn said
smiling. She removed her hands and kissed him on the cheeks.

They greet Lauren and Halsey starts introducing us to her. She seems nice. She looks at me as if she saw me
somewhere so she asks me.

"Have we met before?" Lauren asked me while frowning.

"Yes, this morning at the coffee shop" I answered her smiling. My friends eyed me in confusion.

"Oh yes. The girl who drools over me" she chuckled. What?! What does this girl saying? So conceited! I'm
shock how conceited this girl is.

"No. It's not like that" I tell my friends. Luckily, Shawn is not here because he get some drinks immediately
after Lauren's guessing game. The two other boys went to the bathroom. I started explaining myself to my
friends since it looks like they are hungry from information. Luckily, they believe my side. Dinah and Ally
always believe that I like girls not until Shawn came.

"You fine babe?" Shawn asked me handling me a drink.

"Oh hey Shawn, Happy birthday!" Lauren greet my man happily as she have him her presence. Again, I feel so
bad because I forgot to buy him one.
The night was quite awkward because I can feel Lauren is staring at me once in awhile through my peripheral
vision. I tried to shrugged it off amd enjoyed the rest of the night.

"Guys, I really had fun. Thank you for your company tonight. I'm lucky to have you. You made me happy
especially you Mila" Shawn said dramatically and hold my chin. He is so wasted and cute. I chuckled to myself.

"However I don't want to be the reason of you being late tomorrow so despite of this night being a blast we
need to go home" Shawn said as he hugs everyone of us. I admire Shawn being so open on what he feels not
scared of telling how he cares and thankful to those people who surrounds him.

We manage to go the parking lot and notice that it's raining hard outside.

"Mila, come on. Go to my car I'll send you home" Shawn told me and I can smell his breath having alcohol.
It's obvious that he is drunk. I like you Shawn but I don't want to die yet. I told myself.

"No Shawn, you can't drive. I'll just take a cab" yes. I'm alone. Dinah and Ally are going North part while
Shawn and the two boys will be heading to the East part. I don't know where's Halsey and Lauren will go I just
met them.

"Yes Shawn. Let Brent send you home. We'll take care of Camila" Halsey said to him.

"You're going West?" I asked Halsey. She nodded. Ohh, cool. I feel a little bit safe now. We bid our goodbyes
and Shawn said sorry because he drunk too much. It's not a big deal to me tho.

I got inside the red truck and made myself comfortable. I sat at the back since I told her I want to lay down for
a bit. This car is so sexy. Halsey has a good taste.

"What street are you Mila?" Halsey asked me and sitting beside the driver's sit. Don't tell meee...

"Big foot. Halsey asked you what street are you?" Lauren sit at the driver's seat. What did she just call me?! I
rolled my eyes at her remarks.

"McKinley streets" I answered shortly.

"Ohh, few blocks from my apartment" Lauren grinned looking at the mirror. I just rolled my eyes and made
myself busy with my phone.

Halsey drifted to sleep and her snore made it very obvious. The whole ride was slow simply because the rain
is pouring hard. I don't like when it's raining. It made me sad and anxious.

"Do you mind if I dropped Halsey first?" Lauren asked me. I furrowed my eyebrows and she starts speaking
again.

"Halsey's home is quite far from mine. It would be a hassle if I drop you first before her. I mean, I don't want
to go back repeating the routes" she patiently explained. I just nodded in understanding.

"Sure. Whatever is convenient for you" I said dismissively.

We dropped Halsey at the huge mansion. Halsey is rich, I don't doubt about that.

She is still sleeping and her maids carry her. We headed inside the car and Lauren starts the engine. Few
minutes Lauren break the silence and good thing it wasn't a playful remark because I'm not in the mood for
that.

"So Camila, are you and Shawn are boyfriends and girlfriends?" she asked me.

"No. Not yet" I answered her question.

"Ohh. Hm. We're here Camila, tell me which house to stop" Lauren said informing me. The rain is still pouring
hard.

"That one at two storey house" I lean to her because I could barely see anything. It was dark and blurry. She
stopped the engine and look at me while biting her lips. I don't know what this woman is thinking.

"You wanna go inside? Grab something to drink?" I ask her but she just smiled at me.

"Maybe next time" she unlocked the door.

"So bye?" She asked me and I went out to her car and headed at the front of my door. I mouthed her "thank
you. Bye" and she winked and blew me a kiss before starting again the engine. What a flirt.

My dress is now wet because of the rain drops. I open my door and change my change my clothes
immediately. I sigh when I heard my stomach grumbled. I'm hungry. I decided to eat yogurt and sleep. I had
class tomorrow at 10 so yes, I must go to bed because it's already 2am.

The bell rang and it means it's lunch time. Dinah and Ally didn't come to class because their head are cracking.
Hung over probably. So I had no choice but to eat alone. It doesn't bother me tho, I'm used to this, it's one of
the perks living alone. I headed to the cafeteria to buy something else like pizza and spaghetti when suddenly
I bump into someone.

"What the h-" I look up to see Lauren's face grinning like an idiot. What is she doing here?

"Why are you here?!" I ask her annoyed.

"Anyone could be here. Good afternoon to you too" she chuckled. She tapped my head like I'm a child and I
groan to myself.

"You already saw me and yet you still bump at me. Can't you see that I'm busy choosing what to order" I
glared at her.

"Yea whatever. Find table, I'll treat you lunch. I don't take a no for an answer. Pizza and spaghetti will do?" she
asked me tilting her head, leveling her face to mine. Her ocean orbs, staring to mine. I shut my eyes
immediately' it felt like she can see my soul.

"Yes" I said and chose a good place to eat.

"Here you go" she place my food in front of me and I mouthed her "thanks"

"Camila, whose the hottest girl in here?" She asked me. I look at her if she's serious and what the hell. She's
really serious, I shake my head.

"I don't know" I told her.

"Come on' please" she said pleadingly. What does she thinking? She transferred school just to hunt hot girls?
She's so unbelievable.

"Okay since you treat me lunch I'll answer that. I'll give you one name, Lucy Vives" I told her honestly. Well
Lucy is really beautiful and sexy. She always joins pageant and a lot of assholes are drooling over her.
However, I never saw her dating anyone, maybe it's not her priority. And yes, ofcourse, obviously, I'm way
better than her.

"Ohh. Thank you" she smirk at me.

"Why did you transfer?" I munch my pizza. Yesterday, she mentioned that she transferred university but I
didn't expect it to be here. She was from Shawn's university.

"you eat like a pig" she told me chuckling. I glared at her.

"it's because it's more convenient here" she answered simply. I nodded my head.

"When did you processed?" I ask her.

"Last week. Last tuesday I have my class already but I'm quite busy so I just made it now" she starts
explaining. What's the thing that keeps her busy? Oh yea, I won't ask that because I don't want her to think
that I'm prying in.

"Where are you going?" She hold my hand when I was about to stand up. I felt my body shiver on her sudden
touch. An amount of electricity flow to my body.

"I'll get another pizza" and then I snatch my hand from her.

As soon as I came back. She starts teasing me how I eat like a pig. We start asking some questions about our
likes and don't. She likes pancakes and sushi while I don't like the latter. I told her I ate anything normal and
she laugh like an idiot. She don't like mean people and ofcourse me too. She's so lowkey and that's great
because I don't like her acting like a famous when she's with me although she had the rights because a lot of
students are staring at her with admiration. And some we're approaching us to have her number. I keep
rolling my eyes and she keeps telling she's a private person.

"Where's your next class?" She asked me poking my cheeks. I tried to dodge her another poke but she's too
persistent. We're walking now to the hallway.

"Chemistry, 311" I told her simply. Her eyes are now glowing and she smile like a crazy person while staring at
her schedule. I laugh on how her face looks like.
"We had the same class" she hold my shoulder and starts shaking me vigorously. I almost feel dizzy and
thanks God, she stopped and starts clapping her hands.

"Don't shake me like that or else I'm gonna rip your head off" I told and she just winked at me. She followed
me until we enter our room. Mr. Fallon is already here. I sit at the back and Lauren sit at the front because the
two vacant sits are separated.

"looks like we had a new face here. Kindly introduce yourself miss" Mr. Fallon said nicely. Lauren stand up and
face the whole class. I heard some of them gasps on how beautiful she is.

"buenas dias! I'm Lauren Jauregui, 19 years of age and single" she winked at the girl beside her. Ohh, who
happened to be Lucy Vives. Maybe I'm the only one who saw that. Some of them chuckled on how jolly her
personality is. She's making a good impression.

The lessons starts and it's so boring. I love chemistry but it's boring when you already know what's your
professor is talking about.

The bell ring and I got up immediately, I saw Lauren heading towards me with a grin plastered on her face.

"you're right. Lucy is so hot. And she offered me a tour, and that's great right?" she said and then she slid her
tongue at her lower lip.

"Well yea, I need to go to my next class" I walk exiting the room.

"See you Camila" she messed my hair and I punch her arm. Why does she need to mess my hair! She is so
annoying.

I throw my bag and the gift that i bought for Shawn at the couch and starts to pull off my uniform. I'm now
wearing only my undies. What should I eat? Sandwich won't be bad for dinner. I'm search the ingredients that
I'll be needing when someone ring the doorbell. I don't expect anyone tonight? I put a large shirt and head
towards the door. I saw at the small tv that it was Lauren. I open it slightly.

"What are you doing here?" I ask her. She's just wearing a hoodie and shorts.

"I cook myself for dinner but it turns out too much so here" she said raising the tupperware at front of my
face. I open the door more widely for her to come in and motion her to follow me. I didn't feel anyone
following me so I look over my shoulder. She's just staring at me with her mouth ajar. I raised my brow and
cleared my throat to catch her attention.

"Hmm. I think it's i-i-inappropriate, y-you like to change first?" she ask me while looking on the floor. I
chuckled at her reaction. When does become wearing this become inappropriate at my own house? Ofcourse
not, not even with her presence because I'm not naked.

"I am making you uncomfortable?" I ask her.

"N-no I mean. Yes, whatever. I should go home" she told me anxiously. What's wrong with her?
"are you sure?" I sat on the couch. Still confused on her reaction.

"Yes. I'm not feeling well. I suddenly feel hot" she said still not looking at me.

I pulled her hand and led her to sit in the couch. I lean to feel her forehead and neck with my right hand. She's
hot! She had a fever.

"You have a fever Lauren" I told her.

"No. Trust me, I'm doing fine I just don't feel alright tonight" she push my hands.

"Hm. I'll just get the tupperware tomorrow. Goodnight Camila" she rushed on the door and exited my house
without looking at me. What's with her?
