for CBCT Acquisition and Interpretation

1. Student completes a CBCT requisition form with appropriate signatures
2. Student schedules/coordinates time that CBCT can be made with Memory
3. CBCT is made and data is sent to Dr. Pourian
• CBCT data and appointment will be made using the website:
www.oraldiagnosticslab.com
• Immediately after CBCT data is obtained, student transfers CBCT data (on the
computer used to obtain CBCT) to Dr. Pourian via website
• On the same website, student schedules a CBCT interpretation session with Dr.
Pourian
4. CBCT must be interpreted before implant or other procedure takes place
• Exceptions may be made by approval of Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,
Dr. Hegde, or Dr. Pourian
• If procedures are to take place prior to CBCT interpretation, a scheduled date for
interpretation must be reserved
5. CBCT is interpreted over video chat (TeamViewer) with student and Dr. Pourian
generating a report
• Students will use computers on the 4th floor to review CBCT data and generate a
report
• Once the report is generated, Dr. Pourian will upload the report remotely to Axium
• A note will be made in the patient’s chart with any significant findings and/or that a
report is uploaded
