Dear Exelon,
I am applying for your ILT(SRO) position in Clinton, IL. I am a 6 year Electronic
Technician Nuclear on board USS Carl Vinson in San Diego, CA. My contract ends on
September 5th, 2017 but I can interview personally in August. I am qualified Reactor
Operator/Shutdown Reactor Operator. I am responsible for monitoring all plant parameters such
as temperatures, pressures and flows, taking logs and marking trend analysis, and in charge of
the power plant in the absence of the Propulsion Plant Watch Officer. I have done the qualifying
path on 2 different ships now. I was qualified Reactor Operator/Shutdown Reactor Operator on
the USS Ronald Reagan as well. The wife and I are looking to move away from Southern
California and start somewhere new. Midwest was definitely on the top of the list so Illinois
would be a great fit. I still have a Navy move so I have no problem interviewing in Illinois or
relocating on my own dime. With my experience as a Reactor Operator on a live operating
reactor and Shutdown Reactor Operator on a shutdown plant and my experience and ability to
qualify fast and efficiently, I would be a great ILT and hopefully Senior Reactor Operator one
