This research supported by the demands of the development of science and technology to be a

ble to think a high level in the era of globalization the 21st century , one of them is the ability
of problem solving mathematical .Attitudes and ways of thinking like this can be developed thro
ugh the process of learning mathematics .Considering the importance of problem solving ability
, then required an alternative learning that can improve the ability of problem solving mathemat
ical students , one of them is using the model search , solve , create and share ( sscs ) .Model
sscs consists of four phases of learning namely search ( seek ) , solve ( resolve ) , create ( mak
e ) and share ) ( divide .The purpose of this research is to identify differences increased capacit
y problem solving mathematical between students received learning use the model sscs with stu
dents who received conventional learning. This research shaped quasi his experiments with desig
n nonequivalent control group design .Researchers assign to a class v sdn tanjungsiang as a cla
ss experiment will be learning with a model sscs and grade 5 sdn tanjungjaya as a class control
who are learning as a conventional .Second-class sample each consisting of 30 students .An ins
trument used in this research include tests the ability of problem solving mathematical ( pretest -
posttest ) and a observation .Based on index the gain shows that increased capacity problem so
lving mathematical students who use the model sscs be the first high is as much as 0.7 .While
the increase sheets of observation . Based on index the gain shows that increased capacity prob
lem solving mathematical students who use learning conventional be the first being is as much
as 0.5 .Then based on the distinction rerata the gain ternormalisasi with � � = 0.05 obtained
value significance of 0,000 , so h0 rejected it means there is a difference in the capacity proble
m solving mathematical students who use learning model sscs with students who use learning c
onventional .Based on findings in this study , learning model sscs can be used as one alternativ
e learning model that can be improve the ability problem solving mathematical primary school s
tudent .
