What was your Favorite Film of the semester and why?

or dialogue. Also, briefly comment on an interesting or significant scene.
-My favorite film was Freaks. Although a very short movie I really enjoyed the weirdness and
oddness of the movie. The plot is simple. A beautiful trapeze artist marries a dwarf for his
money, then plots his murder with her lover, the circus strong man. The subsequent action is
both horrifying & strangely satisfying. Various scenes like the Freaks' Banquet and the chase
through the storm are among the most bizarre ever filmed. I believe a very important line is when
they are saying all together “We accept her, one of us.” Because it shows that even if she’s not a
freak they take her in as part of the family with innocence. I believe the most significant scene
would be the storm scene because you can see how the family works in a weird way. It shows
you that if you try to hurt one of them they will always have their families back.

What was your Least Favorite Film of the semester and why? Quote an important
line or dialogue. Briefly comment on an interesting or significant scene.
-My least favorite has to be The Babadook just because it truly didn’t affect me much in any
way. It didn’t scare me, it was a little slow, and I really didn’t like the actress who played the
mother. An important quote is the one which technically sums the movie up which is, “If it’s in a
word, or it’s in a look, you can’t get rid of the Babadook.” I believe the most important part of
the movie is the end when the mother Amelia is feeding worms to the Babadook. It shows us the
as it said “You can’t get rid of the Babadook” because he is still a part of the mother. The
feeding of worms is like a real reminder to Sam and his mother of all the darkness and terrible
things they’ve gone through but at the same time keeping it under control.

ACTIONS
Fade in:

In J.F Kennedy High school hall

We see bags and books scattered all over the place and lockers opened while the focus is on a
man’s shoes all covered in blood walking through the long hall.

(A loud BANG is heard)

We see a girl falling with a gun shot through her head.

Dissolve To:
The first classroom

Along the wide open, lies more books, bags, and notebooks, except in this one we can see more
dead bodies. The first person who can be seen dead is Mrs. Green, the math teacher with a
gunshot to her eye. Then we see about twenty five dead bodies on the floor and others still on the
chair.

Dissolve To:

The second classroom

Inside the class room we see a bunch of students with their teacher with tears in their faces and
trembling while they hide underneath their desks and behind the curtains. They have put their
teacher’s desk and a six foot storage cabinet against the door.

Dissolve To:

High school hall

We see the shoes again walking through the corridor but he then stops walking and turns and
faces a door. The shot opens up and we now see the back of the shooter facing a door that has
“library” written on it.

Opens Door:

School library

We see a mess of books, tables and chairs scattered all over the place. Underneath some tables
are students. They are terrified and trying to control their breathing and crying.

Underneath a private little desk is Arabella, She’s 16 years old and a cheerleader at J.F Kennedy
High School. While she hears footsteps she sees that there is an emergency telephone 1 really
close to the school librarian who is hiding underneath his desk. This is the only opportunity they
have because in school there is a no cellphone policy and all cellphones had to be left every
morning in the principal’s office. She stays staring at him until finally he opens his eyes and
looks at her. She then makes a sign with her hand pointing towards the telephone and he
understood immediately. He then slowly moves towards the phone and presses the emergency
button calling 911 and as quickly as he can, telling them what is going on because the footsteps
are now closer. Arabella then sees the shooter and tries to warn the librarian but he doesn’t see
her.

(A loud noise is heard because the telephone was pulled out of his ear and tossed to the
wall)

Librarian:
(Gasping and crying)

Oh help me Lord. Please, you don’t have to do this, please I have a wife, I don’t
want to die! PLEASE!

Then, “BANG” a gunshot echoes through the library. Arabella covers her mouth to avoid
screaming, but she jumped and hit her head with the desk and made a loud noise that caught the
attention of the shooter.

He then starts walking towards her and bends over to look at her. (This is the first time we see
the shooter’s face.) It was an 18 year old student named Isaac; he had the most innocent face she
had ever seen, but had light blue eyes that were filled with hate.

Arabella stands still trying to keep her body from shaking while Isaac starts to sit down 2 feet
away from her.

Isaac:

Hey Bella.

(Smiling in a relaxed way)

Arabella can’t reply because she is paralyzed with fear. Isaac waits for a while for her to reply,
but she is so terrified that the only thing she can do is stare at the gun.

Isaac:

You can’t imagine how easy this was to find, people should take more care of
their personal things. This is my uncles gun, he had it in his bedroom drawer just
with a magazine on top of it. I guess he’s hoping to have the courage one day to
shoot Aunt Maggie in the face for cheating on him last year.

(Chuckes)

Arabella stares at him with tears coming down her face.

Isaac:

Oh, don’t cry, I’m only killing the people who deserved it; people who FAILED
ME… and obviously those who get in my way of my goal.

Arabella finally found the courage to speak.

Arabella:

You called me Bella, how do you know who I am?

Isaac:

(Chuckles)

How can’t anyone not know the wonderful Bella! She’s the cheerleading captain,
and she’s the president of most of the clubs at school, but not just that, she’s the
smartest girl in the school! How do you do it? Honestly I’d kill you just out of
jealousy if that was the only things I know about you. BUT…Back in fourth grade
Tyler, you know Tyler, the most stupid jock in the world was beating the living
life out of me and you saved me. I remember not being able to see from one eye,
but seeing clearly this little girl with a side ponytail smashing her metal lunch box
with a dolphin drawing on it on Tyler’s head while screaming “You need to stop
being a big meany.”

(Chuckles while hitting the floor)

Arabella doesn’t know what to answer so she just looks at the floor.

Isaac:

I wish I was half the person you are, maybe if I was this didn’t have to happen.

Arabella:

HAVE to happen? This is a choice, not an obligation.

Arabella says while thinking that maybe she can stall him while the cops arrived and save the
lives of all the students in the library and the remaining students at the school.

Isaac:

Oh no my dear, this HAD to happen. Someone had to shoot Mrs. Green so she’d
shut up about the final assignment. She had it coming, she never really liked me,
she’d send me every day to the front of the class to do an exercise knowing that I
would never get it right, and those stupid STUPID students laughing and
disturbing my concentration, I hope they’re all in hell right now. And Tara? Ja!
She was the only stupid one that instead of staying in the bathroom she didn’t get
what was happening and was in the hall, did you know she rejected my invite to
go get pizza last semester? This is why she deserved that gunshot to the head. The
librarian… well, he got in my way. You see, every person I killed I killed with all
the reason in the world. THEY. FAILED. ME. Now do you get me?

Arabella:

I don’t. There are so many ways that you could have fixed this without violence
and without it getting out of hand. You could have told your parents, and they
would have helped with all your problems, maybe they could have come here and
talk to the principle.

Isaac:

NO, I hate them! God knows that they are the next ones that I will kill! But you
don’t get that; you’re little Miss perfect, with the perfect family and the perfect
life…

Arabella for the first time in the whole conversation raises her voice.

Arabella:

YOU DON’T KNOW ME! What in the world gives you the right to think that
because I don’t let my family problems get to me everything is perfect. You
wanna know something? My mother killed herself because she couldn’t live
another day with the horrible man that was my father. When she killed herself my
drunken father started abusing me sexually. I had no one to talk to because he
would threaten me. One day I came from school and saw the TV on but no one
watching it. When I looked to the side my father was dead. He choked on his own
vomit. I didn’t even know if I was scared or relieved. I now live in a group home
where everything is solved by punches and insults, but you know what? I’m not
letting that ruin more of my life because I KNOW that if I’m strong enough God
will give me what I deserve, A GOOD LIFE.

Isaac with tears in his eyes and a shocked stare looks at the gun, and holds it tightly. He then
stares at Arabella and swallows before talking.

Isaac:

But then something like this happens and you start to think… I should have killed
my father myself, and I should have beaten to death my roommate who steals my
money, and your life, will become a ball of what if’s because actions, ACTIONS
speak louder than words.

(Scratching his head)

He says these words while standing up and starting to pace back and forward. Arabella stands up
too because she got agitated, but still maintaining her distance.

Arabella:

NO, that is not true, because I know better than that. Not because mommy and
daddy showed me but because life showed me. People who hurt you always get
what they deserve but at their time and at their own way. If you give pain you’ll
receive it someday. If you help then someday life will pay you too. What a better
example than this, because if I hadn’t help you back then I would have been dead
already just because you though my life was perfect.

Isaac standing, facing a wall like if he had just been punished in a “time out” without being able
to move. Scared to face Arabella and look at her with fear of his actions.

Arabella:

Sometimes life pushes and pushes to see how much you can take and see what
kind of person you are and you just have to show life that you are better than that.

(Punching her hand with her fist repetitively)

While she’s saying that she notices things around her she can use to defend herself. She sees that
next to her is a laptop she was using to write her essay and next to that she had her keychain
which also had a pepper spray. She walks to it never turning her back on Isaac just to see if he
turns over. She successfully grabs the keychain without Isaac noticing. She then starts to walk to
him knowing that the words she is about to say may be her final words…

Arabella:

I know it’s hard, and I know that some people just don’t have the personal
emotional strength to deal with things the right way, but that doesn’t make what
you’re doing right! You don’t get to play God. You don’t get to kill who ever
teased you or hurt you. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT! Face things, be better, BE
STRONG because all your being now is a COWARD!

Isaac infuriated turns around but before he can look Arabella used the pepper spray on him and
this made him drop the gun. She quickly kicked the gun towards one of the students.

Arabella:

(Screaming)

Grab the gun now!

She quickly grabbed the laptop and smashed it on Isaacs head and he fell unconscious.
Dissolve to:

The third classroom

Isaac finally wakes up after being knocked out by Arabella. The first thing he sees is Arabella
siting in a chair in front of him then he notices that he is tied up to a chair. He had been
unconscious for about fifteen minutes.

Desperately he tries to untie himself but failed miserably. When he finally gave up and stopped
with the noise Arabella stood up.

Arabella:

I am no God. I do not chose who gets to live and who gets to die. This is why
you’re tied up and not dead. The cops are coming soon and you’ll get what you
deserve because as you said, actions speak louder than words and you left about
40 bodies demonstrating your actions. Dying would be too good for you, too easy.
But let’s see how you survive in jail for the rest of your life.

As Arabella says her final words to Isaac sirens begin to be heard, each second louder. Arabella
turns away with her arms crossed and right when she starts walking out of the room a squad of
police men enter, armed and ready to take Isaac to where he deserved to be.

THE END

 The symbol attached was the dolphin on the lunch box. The dolphin represents Arabella
because like her the dolphin is both highly intelligent and closely in tune with their
instincts. They are also a symbol of protection. People who identify themselves with a
dolphin have a deep inner strength.

 Star Actors:
 Logan Lerman as Isaac:
He would be perfect for Isaac because he is on the awkward innocent side, but able to
portray a dark character. Another thing is that in the screen play they mention Isaac’s light blue
eyes and he has them.

 Elizabeth Gillies as Arabella:

She is a very pretty girl with a strong attitude which is what we’re looking for. She can
easily switch from sweet and calmed to tough and strong.

 Director:
 Ryan Murphy

We believe he would be perfect to produce this because he has done the high school
theme in Glee plus the creepy and dark theme of American Horror Story.

 This will have a cost of approximately $1,500,000.
