APPARATUS AND MATERIALS:
Ethanol Bunsen burner and tripod stand
Ethanoie Acid Cold water
Conc. HSO, 10 ml Measuring cylinder
Water Test tube
2 beakers
PROCEDURE
Place 1 cm’ of ethanol and 1 cm’ of ethanoic acid in a test tube.
Add 0.5 cm? of conc. H,SO, to the mixture in the test tube.
Place the boiling tube into the water bath and heat for a few minutes
Pour the mixture into a half filled beaker of cold water.
