Ballet Philippines presents: Rock Supremo

Ballet Philippines, in cooperation with Rock Ed Philippines and the National Historical

Commission, presented Rock Supremo last January 28 up to March 1 at the Luce Auditorium.

The show was about the life of Andres Bonifacio. It featured the music of Ebe Dancel,

Peryodiko, Dong Abay, Kai Honasan, Peso Movement, Gloc9, Sandwich, Pedicab, Radioactive

Sago Project, Tarsius, and Rico Blanco. The show was directed by Alice Reyes who had

experienced directing movies since 1985.

This was the same production team that bought us Sleeping Beauty last year and now

they have returned to give us another show which is this. The show depicted the life of Andres

Bonifacio. Iit has used modern music for its theme.

“Before we were just wondering how to bring Rock Supremo to Dumaguete, now it’s

already in fornt of us.” Ian Casocot, one of the organizers of the event said.

Ballet Philippines promised to be back with new surprises soon. They surely have made

the Sillimanians wait for their comeback.
