WARMER
-Play slow reveal with the flashcards that the sts. Have learned so far leading up to pg. 10. (Say what’s
this?)
-LEAD-IN
Introduce the three new words on pg. 10 to sts. Hold up one at a time and say words for sts. To repeat.
-Put the flashcards in different places around the room for sts. To point to accordingly.
MIME
-Mime the action of putting a bag over my shoulder asking the class “What’s this? It’s a…….” Repeat
with knocking on a door and opening a window.
-Have a student stand up and mim an activity using one of the school things. The student asks “what’s
this? Repeat with other students.
SING AND DO
-Sts. Will sing again but this time mime the actions. (Practice with the class)
OPEN THE BOOK/CLOSE THE BOOK (sts. Mime doing these actions.)
OPEN THE DOOR/CLOSE THE DOOR (MIME AGAIN)
OPEN THE BAG/CLOSE THE BAG (MIME AGAIN)
OPEN THE WINDOW/CLOSE THE WINDOW (MIME AGAIN)
(PRACTICE THESE MIMES WITH THE CLASS. HAVE STS. WORK IN PAIRS AND OR COME
TO THE FRONT OF THE CLASS TO GIVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO OTHER STS.
