Answering the questions below in a detailed and thoughtful manner will enable you to develop critical
design skills and ultimately help you understand your own work for what it is, and not for what you’d
like it to be.
Branding
How appropriate is the logo for its target audience?

How clear is the application of the logo (space, scale restrictions) across the brand and individual salons?
How well are the brand typefaces chosen and how clear is their application across individual salons?
How considered is the colour palette and how clear is its application across the brand and individual salons?
How efficient are the brand guidelines at enforcing brand consistency (are they comprehensive, detailed and
clearly illustrated?)?
How competent are the brand guidelines at reinforcing the brand mission and vision (consider whether the
guidelines are designed in line with the proposed brand identity and manifesto)?
