HOTEL RWANDA

Hotel Rwanda is a film based on the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Rwanda was divided into two.
These are battles between the Hutus and Tutsis. The war between Hutus and Tutsis is highly
fuelled by bribery and corruption that ruin the political stability in the country. Belgians are the
one who colonized, ruled and makes the division in Rwanda. This movie is not about the
massacre that Hutus and Tutsi tribe involved to, but this is all about the story of a man named
Paul Rusesabagani who saved a thousand of lives.

Paul Rusesabagani is a man who uses his skills of bribery, flattery, apology, and deception to
save lives. He knows how to function himself in mingling with different cultures and he knows
how to handle compliant. Paul Rusesabagani married Tatiana Rusesabagani. Tatiana
Rusesabagani belongs to the Tutsis tribe. Hutus are formally known to have a default power
while Tutsis are traitors and contenders.

In this massacre, the United Nations are involved. Security and development was so much
related with each other. Development has been defined as economic growth and well-being, and
recently it has expanded to include capabilities, opportunities and choice. Development of a state
has been linked to security through the concept of human security. Human security is very
important with us humans. The development of our country really depends on us. We are
keeping in sure that our security is good and then that’s when we contribute more with our
economy.

According to Paul, politics is power and money and time is also money. In securing ones security
we need a good cooperation and good talks to trade goods in order to have peace and money. In
the case of Asia-Pacific it is better to motivate our women to have the self-determination for the
implementation of the peace processes and to develop the participation of women in politics. The
intention of the norms developed in this area is to ensure a gendered perspective is applied to the
full range of peace process practice. If we implement peace there will be better relations between
states and between each people.

Recently, there was a five-month-long armed conflict in Marawi, Lanao del Sur, that started on
23 May 2017, between Philippine government security forces and militants affiliated with the
Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), including the Maute and Abu Sayyaf Salafi jihadist
groups. This experience has brought great concern to the people. Luckily, our President Rodrigo
Duterte has done a great plan to finish this disorder. I recommend that we must implement peace
and order as much as the people can. And we need to educate the children in order for them to
know what is right and wrong in the decisions that they will do in the future even though we
have different culture we still need to know what will peace can benefit people and also the
government itself.
