skilled and enthusiastic emerging teacher, it is my pleasure to submit the enclosed resume
for your review. I have recently completed student teaching through Grand Valley State
University (GVSU) in the Graduate Teacher Certification (GTC) program with
experience developing lesson plans and curriculum for 5th-grade.

I have experience substitute teaching in a variety of classroom settings and grade levels
K-6. My experience through the GTC program, and as a substitute teacher over the last
two years has helped me hone my classroom management and philosophy of education. I
believe my teaching experience and passion for creating a child-centered environment to
encourage creativity and higher-order thinking with rigorous and relevant instruction
makes me an ideal candidate for a position at your school.
