School officials can vote on Morse v. Frederick. On a 5-4 decision, Deborah Morse and now prohibit her constituencies succeeding in allowing administrators to limit free students from speech when it comes to drug usage. Joseph Frederick, a student at displaying items that Juneau-Douglas High School, was suspended after he held up a promote drug usage. banner with text stating “Bong Hits 4 Jesus”. Principle Deborah Morse thought the action was justified because it promotes illegal paraphernalia. Thus, Joseph sued the school, using First Amendment rights as his precedent to commit such an act. The Ninth Court of Appeals actually sided with Joseph, using past court cases to protect his speech. Yet, the Supreme Court reversed that decision in support of the school, because it promotes illegal drug use. 2
