Scope and inputs of Geologist in Hydropower and Irrigation( water resource)

1. Site Investigation
2. Slope Stalibility ( kinematic analysis, lab test analysis,etc)
3. Construction materials survey, testing and analysis.
4. Rock classification (RMR,GSI,Q)
5. Rock Mechanics ( lab test report review and analysis)
6. Soil Mechanics (lab test report review and analysis)
7. Preparation of engineering geological map, geological map and Hazard map.
8. Site selection for drilling and Core logging & selection of core for lab test.
9. Site selection for sub surface investigation (ERT profile, SRT profile,etc).
10. Geological Investigation and assessment for preparation of geological report for finalization of
location of major hydropower components, design of various project components including
power house, intake, ancillary structures for tunnel and other components for feasibility review,
preparation of DPR.
11. Detail study of mitigation for hazards & IEE review.
