LESSON 1 GRATITUDE

Hello everyone, my name is… from Toeic & Communication Ms Trinh. Toeic
& Communication Ms Trinh wants to help students study English online better
from the very begining. So in the near future we will have a lot of series of
online lessons about the everyday talking situations.

Our lesson today is about how to say THANK YOU as the native speaker.

When I came to VN, I’ve spoken with many Vietnamese people and they seem
to just say the one way to express their gratitude, and that is THANK YOU.
And when I say THANK YOU to them, they are just silent, they do not reply to
me. This really makes me upset. In this lesson, you will learn how to say thank
you and also how to respond to thank you.

These are the usual ways to say THANK YOU. Please listen and repeat after
me.

1. Thank you

2. Thanks

3. I really appreciate this.

Have you opened your mouth to speak after me, guys? Please open your mouth
to speak, ok?

4. Thanks for your help

5. This is a big favor (This is more of a statement than a way to say thanks) I
owe you one.

6. You’ve been a big help.

7. I can’t express how grateful I am.

8. I’m much obliged to you.

Guys, open your mouth to speak after me please…

9. You’re too kind

10. I’m indebted to you.

11. Thank you for everything you’ve done.

12. You don’t know how much this means to me.

13. I can’t thank you enough.

14. Thanks a million.

15. Remember to thank Mark for me.

Ok guys, I’m sure you have learned a lot of ways to say thank you. Please
remember to share this video and learn by heart.

Now, these are the ways you should reply to thank you.

1. You’re welcome

2. Don’t mention it.

3. No problem.

4. I’m glad you like it (this is used when your friend says “thank you” for your
gift; you should say I’m glad you like it)

Please remember to repeat so that you can remember right away.

5. Not at all

6. Anytime

7. Oh, it’s my pleasure/ my pleasure (when this is a formal situation)

I hope you have learnt many ways to say thank you and also to reply to thank
you.

I’ll see you again in the lesson 2: apologies. Please follow Toeic Co Trinh to
update the lessons.
