Reflection 8

2. Reading over my essay out loud really woke me up. I got to experience what it actually
sounds like to my professors and could not help but think that I need to REALLY should
start doing that after every major assignment I have. It not only helps your reading skills,
but it also gives you a chance to hear what it sounds like out loud and correct any
grammar errors.
3. Listening to my peers read over their own essay somewhat helped me understand the
topic even more and have me really good vocabulary ideas.
4. My peers seemed to understand my thesis but thought it would look better if I made it
sound a little more detailed. They were not able to identify my naysayer or concession
arguments because I still need to work on my essay as a whole. I am planning on
developing new ideas and giving out more detail on my final draft which I did not get the
chance to do for the rough draft. Things I needed a little more work on were my
conclusion and some of my body paragraphs because It looks as if I used too much
background information and I should just get straight to the point, which I completely
understand where they’re coming from.
5. Bullet list for Final Draft:
● Make thesis arguable
● More evidence to support claim
● Include naysayer and concession claims
● Work on conclusion
○ Work on ending sentence
● Add in my new ideas and evidence!
