Reflection 7

1. There are many ways to show you are trustworthy and reliable when speaking to an

audience but one of the most effective ways is through implementing a naysayer. When

doing this you show not just knowledge of the opposing side but also enough trust and

confidence in your argument to show both sides. Planting a naysayer specifically targets

any argument others would have against your claim and gets rid of that opportunity

before it happens. A concession is when you find a small part of the opposing argument

to agree with but use it to further strengthen your own claim.

2. I am at a 5 when it comes to my confidence in planting naysayers. I believe myself to be

open to different perspectives which in my opinions makes planting a naysayer easier and

feel more natural.
