Dear HR Director,

I am writing this letter to apply for the position as the Director of Communications for
the College of Engineering. I heard of this organization via LinkedIn.
Working for the University of Arkansas would be such a privilege because it would
provide a great working environment. In addition, my time spent as an undergrad here
influenced my life a tremendous amount. It has given me opportunities I would have never
received or come across if it was not for this institution, so I feel it is my time to give back.
In my previous position as a Communications manager at Arkansas State University, I
was exposed to new styles of learning and information. I efficiently managed my time and
efforts under the Communications supervisor. I increased the awareness of the College of
Nursing among the surrounding population (including local counties) by 40 percent, and
productivity within our department increased by 25 percent.
