Design brief.
You are a newly graduated architect who has been given the conversion of a
study room to a bathroom as your first project. The client wishes that the
proposed bathroom is to facilitate wheelchair assess. The client has asked that
you design a 3D model presentation showing the location of the shower area,
WC, wash hand basin and grab rails. The client also requires an A3
presentation of the proposed design showing all key dimensional requirements
for the bathroom. The proposed conversion will be located at A shown in the
below plans.

Learning Objectives.
At the end of this assignment you will be enabled to:
 List the key dimensional requirements of a wheelchair accessible
bathroom.
 Demonstrate innovative and creative design.
 Apply the theoretical knowledge of accessibility and lifetime design in
construction studies to develop a 3D bathroom design model.
 Discuss their design and rationale for their chosen design.
 Evaluate their design. Does the design fit the brief? Is this a practical
approach to converting a space into a bathroom?
