The same angle (ADC) is less
than 30° on this isometric
drawing.
Angles of 30°, 60° and 48° cannot be drawn in isometric projection
using a set square.
‘To draw the above angle, an elevation of the surfaces must be drawn
as shown. The measurements AB, BC and CD can be transferred to
the isometric drawing.
A slope is normally given as a ratio, for example 1:4.
‘To draw the below example, draw line AB to any length and step off
four equal divisions of convenient length. At B drop a perpendicular
and make lenath BC equal to one division. Join AC to give the slope
1:4. Transfer measurements to the isometric drawing.
