5 Stage of Plastic Recycling Process

Stage: 1 Sorting the Plastic

Plastic Waste needs to be collected and based on the resin Identification code(RIC) they
needs to be sorted. Sorting plastic helps in creating the better grade of plastic which helps in
maximizing revenue for our business.

Stage: 2 Washing Plastic Waste

In order to remove the Paper labels, adhesives, and other kind of Impurities they are being
washed. While Removing if there are Plastic Labels then they are kept so that Which
Shredding they are being recycled again.

Stage: 3 Shredding

The washed plastic are loaded into Conveyor belts or directly into the huge hoppers that
funnel the clean scrap towards the rotating metal teeth that rip the plastic into small pallets
which are bagged up. These pallets, also known as nuggets are ready for Testing.

Stage: 4 Identify and Classify the Plastic

After the Shredded plastic is chemically tested, they are labeled as the exact Specification.
Various things are added to the Shredded plastic and polymers are manufactured.

Stage: 5 Extruding (If)

Finally, melting clean shredded plastic and extruding into plastic roll stock sheet takes place.

There is also high demand of the Plastic roll stock sheet by the Laminators, Fabricators, and
Thermoformers (they require it for high visibility packaging)
