Olivia’s focus has been developing center based learning activites that can differentiate the learner's individual needs. Formative assessment information is gathered for her to analyze and modify instruction to meet the needs of each student. Olivia conferences with students to scaffold them to a higher level of learning. She has continued to effectively implement the district’s content standards by implementing different modes of instruction, She continues to utilize Marzano’s Question Stems to promote quality questioning when presenting new and familiar content, Leamers are engaged throughout instruction which fosters their critical thinking skills. She collaborates with Team members and other student interns to brainstorm ideas to incorporate Coit’s International Baccalaureate Primary Year Program. This involves developing and maintaining a climate of inquiry throughout the school community. Coit Creative Arts Academy is a creative arts themed school that has many more specials than a traditional elementary. This limits the time that students are in the seat and requires lessons that are engaging and focus on key leaning targets. ‘There are many more transition times and she is able to manage student’s behavior. Her organizational skills and * knowledge of integration of technology allow her to develop clear and concise lessons that meet the needs of learners. She orchestrates effective classroom discussions, questioning, and learning tasks that promote higher-order thinking skills. Her thematic Social Studies Unit integrated core classroom essential agreements to provide students an extension to their previous knowledge base. She allocated time for students to engage in hands-on experiences, discuss and process content, and make meaningful connections. Olivia has the outgoing personality and determination to succeed in any school district that employs her. She is able to think fast on her feet and secks solutions to problems using the school, community, and family resources. Her passion for children is evident in her responses to children’s concerns and questions. Olivia would confidently become a valuable ‘member of any team of educators, and I would highly recommend her fora teaching position.
