Kelsey has always been driven to develop her skills as a teacher. Currently, she is
pursuing her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction through the American
College of Education. She continually seeks opportunities to improve her teaching
techniques and find innovative ways in which to teach new material. She shares many
creative strategies that she has discovered and seeks out additional resources to help
challenge and accommodate her students’ individual needs. I am extremely thankful
that she has shown me new ways to incorporate technology into my lessons, which
helps to significantly improve student engagement.
Kelsey has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages. She finds ways to connect with
all of her students and creates a positive classroom community in which differences are
accepted and celebrated. She sets high expectations for her students and helps them to
develop a growth mindset. Kelsey also has excellent communication skills with both
parents and teachers. We have conducted many parent-teacher conferences together,
in which I have been able to witness her ability to tactfully portray students’ strengths
and areas for growth to parents.
Kelsey accomplishes all these tasks with great initiative and a positive attitude. She is a
dedicated and enthusiastic teacher that would be a very valuable asset to your district. I
recommend Kelsey to you without reservation. Please feel free to contact me for any
further information.
Sincerely,
Katie Herm
