Mohit Paper Mills is planning an expansion of its paper manufacturing unit from 45 TPD to 100
TPD at Village Abdullpur Munna, dist. Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The project is in planning stage. Work
on the project is expected to commence in the end of April 2017 & is planned for completion in
December 2017.
According to MoEF sources, the expansion project will be done within the existing 11.45-hectare
plant premises. The expansion will entail up-gradation and efficiency improvement in process. The
capacity of agro-based writing and printing paper will be augmented from 45 TPD to 100 TPD,
agro pulp from 31.5 TPD to 70 TPD, waste paper pulp from 6.75 TPD to 15 TPD, soap stone pulp
from 6.75 TPD to 15 TPD. The existing plant also comprises of a 4.5 MW co-gen power plant and
a 100 TPD chemical recovery unit (to produce black liquor solids). The capacity of the ETP will
also be augmented from 7,000 cu. mtrs /day to 8,500 cu. mtrs /day. The estimated cost of the
project is Rs. 60 million.
February 2018 update:
The project has been put on due to non-receipt of pollution control board clearance.
