Mining gold

Origins: Gold is a very expensive kind of rock all around the world. Gold is usually found deep in
underground and the underground gold is not very heavy but it is very soft and the underground
gold is taken out by mining. The underground is in big rock- size pieces. Some particles of gold are
also found in rivers but they are in particles but the gold that is found in the water is heavy because
the water is soaked in the gold.

Things made out of gold: Many things are made out of gold such as bracelets, necklace’ and royal
crowns are also made out of gold and some royal king’s or queen’s palace walls or decorations are
also made out of gold, but the question is how they make it? They take it the little particles of gold
to a gold making factory and they are melted in high temperature 1, 064 C. After that they form
the melted gold into big shapes.

What elements is gold made out of: Gold is made out of many elements that is Atomic Number 79
and some electron figures.

Qualities: Gold are soft heavy and they have slight yellow dense colour and made out of ductile
metal.

Where found: Gold is found in a lot of countries like Papua New Guinea, Australia, Russia, Peru,
China, and New Zealand. Mostly gold is found in Oceania and the whole South Pacific region.
