‘To whom it may concer,
|tis with great pleasure | write this letter of recommendation on behalf of my colleague, Mrs.
Becky Cleveland. | have worked with Becky for three years in her role as a math interventionist
and guest teacher. Her current role, guest teacher in a third grade classroom, gave me the
opportunity to work closely with Becky sharing the role of grade level colleagues.
In the classroom, Mrs. Cleveland created a positive learning environment and has great
classroom management skills. She created @ community where students were engaged and
‘motivated to learn. | personally leamed many new systems that included positive
communication with families, high leverage practices (close reading, student voice/choice) and
activities to support a peaceful classroom with rigor and fidelity
Mrs. Cleveland is incredibly organized. She quickly and efficiently organized the classroom and
made several changes that supported a more personalized learning environment. She was
uick to organize materials, create outlines for lessons and used data to drive her instruction.
‘The organizational systems she created helped as she identified students in need of support
and created instructional strategies that supported the data she used. In her current role, she
elected to collaborate with our team and create a SLO/PPG as she wanted the experience but
more importantly, she noted students needs that would be addressed with an action plan.
Mrs. Cleveland created positive relationships with her students, their families and our staff. She
is willing to go up and beyond her work to support her students and staff. Her willingness to use
her intervention skills and form small, fluid groups among all third and fourth grade students was
very impressive. In addition, she met regularly with another student after school for additional
support demonstrating an incredible amount of care and concern for this students growth. She
‘created communication tools using technology, letters and often face to face meetings with
Parents and families. Mrs. Cleveland led our collaboration and cooperatively worked with our
team planning, organizing and problem solving,
| know first hand that Mrs. Cleveland will be a leader in any elementary school. She truly cares
about her students, their learning and how she can help grow their successes. | look forward to
sharing more about Mrs. Cleveland. My email is mary.rauimann@muskegononway.org or my
