Chumash

The Chumash lived by the ocean or near the coast . The Chumash would live in large
villages such as 1,000 or as small as 100. The Chumash would eat abalone ,shellfish , fish ,
seals and porpoises .The mother would prepear foods and meals every day. The father would
be fishing or hunting for food .The childern would help look for abalone. For the Chumash
there lifes were easy.

Yokuts

The Yokuts lived in the San Joaquin Valley or the foothill of Sierra Nevada. The Yokuts would
live in Pit Houses or built underground house to keep warm. The Yokuts would eat acorn
which they use a lot to make different kinds of food. They would also eat nut . The mother
would make food from the acorn that they would gather. The father would loosen the acorn
for the childern . The childern would pick up the acorns to give to there mother. For the
Yokuts there life not that easy.
