we study the roles of the President and look at Presidents from the past, we should
acknowledge the incredible feats that past presidents have accomplished. For example,
President Roosevelt was able to come into office during the Great Depression and put our
economy back on track. How did he do this? For this assignment, I want you to work in your
groups and come up with answers to the following questions:

1. What did FDR do to help the Economy of the United States?


2. What was the reason for the Great Depression? (Although there are multiple, pick one
or two and describe them here).


3. What was one program that FDR put into place that was part of the New Deal? What did
this program aim to do, specifically?


4. If you were in FDR’s shoes, what would you have done differently? What would you
have included?
