OSHA STANDARDS

The participation of safety and health regulations are vitally important as well as
seeking any updates to further your knowledge. Here I bestow a brief guideline on
best practices for our staff.

Wear appropriate PPE at all time, taking precautions is the best way to
prevent potential hazards or contamination.
Wear dress code appropriate clothing.
Practice handwashing before and after each application of any PPE or
contact and clean-up of any: bodily fluids, trash, hazardous waste, or
restroom breaks.
Fresh diluted household bleach should be made up every 24hours.
Clean one side of pathways at a time to prevent: slips, trips, and falls.
When cleaning environmental surfaces clear all bodily fluids, waste and
spills before applying appropriate disinfectant. Contact time is Generally the
time it takes product to air dry.

DO NOT take lightly of these rules to pick up for lost time or the
preservation of hospital PPE. Please prevent the following: sitting on the
patient’s bed, touching equipment unless you are permitted, handling a
patient’s personal belongings, engaging in loud or disturbing conversations,
and enter a patient’s room without professional purpose nor permission.
