Reflection

What?
Today in lab the nurse had to take care of a patient that just recently had a
colostomy done. The patient is 26 years old and lives an active life. The nurse had to
clean up the colostomy and see to the patient’s needs.

So what?
I learned that is not only important to see to the physical needs of the patient
but it’s also important to see to the patients psychological needs as well.

Now what?
What I plan to do for now on is pay more attention to the psychological
needs. As I continue to go to clinical and attend lab I will make sure to keep the
patients psychological needs as a priority.
