Professional Semester II Goals

Goal #1: Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, but also inspires
learning and encourages creativity.

Start of the Semester: I chose to focus my first goal on maintaining classroom control because in
my PSI I struggled with classroom control due to a lack of familiarity with the elementary school
setting. I feel a little uncomfortable with the middle school setting as it has been a while since I
have been in this setting and I want to become more confident in my ability to control a
classroom while still making learning fun and exciting.

Goal #2: Participate in as many extra-curricular activities as possible:

Start of the Semester: I want to first settle in to the school routine and teaching routine before I
start to volunteer to coach, supervise or organize, but I feel like I should immerse myself into
these activities because often times the extra-curricular side of being a teacher is not taught or
examined in our university seminars.
