Findings

Summary of Findings

Base on likert scale that we use we find that almost all of the employees skills affected
when their self-esteem is low. Self-esteem of employees are very important in their daily work
for them to work properly to be focus on what they need to do in their work.

 Self-esteem of employees affect their skills.


 Employees had low self-esteem may have their own problem.
 Low self-esteem in early age may affect them in their future work.
 Problem in their families affect their work focus.

Conclusion

The government must stride to attract, develop and retain high performing workers who
are motivated, skilled, more qualified and competent. It should put in place realistic and
attractive professional compensation packages, models of staff recognition and other all-round
motivational programs. Additionally, aspects of job enlargement, opportunities for promotion,
pay increments, bonuses and luncheons, good performance measures that foster career
development should be in place. The companies have staff development policies that are
documented but majority of the staff cannot attest to their effectiveness and their implementation.
The relevant literature shows that there is an effect on employees skills when their self-esteem is
low based on the selected employees in companies located in balanga city. Companies should
use other motivational strategies to improved job performance. Such may include reward,
recognition, promotion, participation, building self-esteem, self-confidence and empowerment
strategies.
