The foundation must be

executed in respect to the foundation drawing. The machine should be
leveled by means of the leveling bolts. Check the level with a precision
level: accuracy of 0.05 mm/m. Machines with a V-axis, (automatic
crowning) are leveled, in cross-direction, on the guides of the ram. Acting
this way prevents torsion of the frame.
The surface on which the level is checked has to be free of oil, rust and dirt.
After leveling, on big machines, the anchor-bolt holes are filled with liquid
cement. On small machines, self expanding anchor-bolts are used. (See
