influential writers of India and was highly praised for his literary
works. After considerable struggles the independence was won
and azad decided not to move into Pakistan but to stay in India.
From here he was rightfully chosen as the first education
minister of free India, his belief in the absolute Hindu-Muslim
unity earned him the respect of millions.
Gandihji remarked him as the "emperor of
learning and his name resides on numerous educational body's
and institutions in India. He breathed his last on 2nd February
1958. However he is and must be remembered by one and all
on the "national education day"
