I feel that Friar Laurence is at fault for the tragedy. Friar Laurence
influenced what happened in the end of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence could
have prevented what happened in the end but didn’t. Friar Laurence was at fault
because he gave a thirteen year old the power to fake her death, he secretly married
the two lovers, and he did not properly warn Romeo about what happened to Juliet.

Friar Laurence is at fault for many different reasons. When he gave Juliet the
potion he gave her power that no thirteen year old should ever have. He gave this
power without thinking of the consequences of this action.This was one reason for
Romeo and Juliet dying in the end. Another reason why Friar Laurence is at fault is
because he secretly married the two without parents permissions. When he
married them he caused the two to become closer together influencing them to kill
themselves if the other got hurt. The last reason why Friar Laurence is at fault is
because he did not warn Romeo properly. When he sent his letter he should have
been waiting by Juliet’s tomb to make sure. He also could have told Benvolio what
was truly happening.
