Brainstorm- What are key

elements in creating an
argumentative essay with
supporting evidence from the
text?

Quiz- being able to identify

level 1, 2, and 3 sentences.

Peer grading- writing a

paragraph and giving it to a
peer to highlight the level 1,
2, 3 sentences in the
paragraph.

Peer editing- students will

turn in the first draft of their
essay for peer editing so they
know how to improve their
writing, and the graders will
know what is needed in their
own papers.

Final draft of their paper-

students will know how to
write a coherent paper that as
an argument that is backed up
with evidence from the text.

Presentation: Students will

make a presentation with
Prezi on what key elements
are needed to write a
convincing argumentative
essay and provide their own
examples.
